iStock_000000117681XSmallJust about everyone is familiar with the concept of franchising, even if they are not exactly sure how franchising works. The simplest definition of a “franchise” is that it’s a  “proven business concept”, associated with or connected to, a federally registered trademark. In our case, our trademark is “ADL Caring Companions”. If you decide to come on board with us as a franchise owner, you’ll be purchasing our franchise system. We’ll be teaching you our entire system and you’ll do business under the name ADL Caring Companions.

All franchises are offered for sale through what is known as the “disclosure process”. You, as a prospective franchise buyer, are “disclosed” when you are given the Franchise Disclosure Document also called the FDD. The FDD contains a full description of the franchise including estimated costs to open a franchise location, information about the company, it’s owners and the firm’s financial statements. While this sounds a little complicated, it’s really not. By law, this is the way all franchises are to be offered and sold.

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions and answers about franchising and the ADL Caring Companions Franchise.

How much is the franchise fee?

Our initial franchise fee is $34,900.00 for a territory of 500,000 in population. That’s twice the size of other franchise offerings. Based on our experience, territory size means a lot in senior care. The total estimated initial investment is discussed in our Franchise Disclosure Document.
